Woncan provides LiteSurvey Pro and related services. For unregistered users, the service provider is determined by their location; for registered users, by their account's registration region. Services for the Chinese Mainland are provided by Wuhan Woncan Construction Technologies Co., Ltd. Services outside the Chinese Mainland, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, are provided by Woncan (Hong Kong) Limited. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the applicable service provider. This policy explains how we handle your personal information and how you can manage it.

Features and services may vary by version, operating system and service region. Provisions concerning accounts, login, cloud storage and synchronization apply when the relevant feature is available and you use it. Location and survey records may constitute sensitive personal information where they relate to an identifiable person.

This policy applies to LiteSurvey Pro and related application services. Purchases and other activity on the Woncan online store are covered by the store's separate privacy policy.

1. Information we collect and use

Surveying, maps and device connections

When you use positioning, maps, surveying or stakeout features, we process location information, coordinates and survey records, together with projects, coordinate systems and related parameters you enter or import, as needed for those features. We use this information to display locations, perform survey calculations, manage projects and provide related queries. Where precise location or movement records linked to an identifiable person are involved, we obtain the authorization required by applicable law. Disclosure of this information may affect your personal or property security.

When you connect survey equipment, we process device models, identifiers such as serial numbers, connection status, firmware versions and necessary operational data to identify and connect equipment, provide device services and troubleshoot problems.

When you configure and use NTRIP or other network correction services, information sent to your selected provider may include the service address, port, mountpoint, connection credentials, receiver NMEA/GGA position and technical connection information. When position transmission is enabled, the reported receiver position may be sent; it is not necessarily a location selected on the map. Connection profiles and credentials may be stored locally or transferred to compatible equipment as needed for the selected function. The provider's terms and privacy practices apply. These connections may not be encrypted, depending on the provider, equipment, protocol and connection method.

Map display, place searches, coordinate-parameter queries and related online services may require query content, location or area information, and necessary network information such as IP addresses to be sent to us or the relevant provider. Third-party map and location services are listed in the appendix.

LiteSurvey Pro stores application and survey information locally. Depending on the features available and your choices, information may also be processed or stored using Woncan-operated or contracted cloud services for synchronization, backup, restoration, migration, collaboration, support, security and service continuity. Information may also leave the device when an online feature requires it or when you export or share it using a system or third-party service. Photos and project attachments remain local unless you use a feature that transfers them. User-selected destinations apply their own terms and privacy practices.

Accounts and authentication

When you use account features, we process your mobile number, email address, verification results, account identifiers and necessary login records according to your chosen login method, for registration, login, account management and security verification. Where an organization, workspace or collaboration feature is available and used, relevant account, membership and access-control information may also be processed.

For one-tap mobile login, after obtaining the applicable authorization, the authentication provider and your mobile carrier process your mobile number, authentication credentials, device and network information to verify your right to use that number. For third-party login, we receive the account identifier, email address and verification information you authorize the provider to supply. You may choose other login methods offered by the product.

Cloud storage and synchronization

When you use cloud storage, backup or synchronization, we process the projects, survey records, coordinates, images and other files you choose to upload or synchronize, together with the associated account, file properties and synchronization records, to store, access and synchronize your data. Uploaded content may contain sensitive personal information such as precise location. Please ensure you are entitled to process and upload the content.

Where available, product features may allow you to manage or delete cloud content or close an account. You can also contact us about information under our control. Cloud feature availability depends on your version and service region.

Operations and performance analysis

To maintain the product, analyze usage and improve stability, we process necessary device and application information, such as device model, operating system, app version and app-instance identifiers, network status, IP addresses, feature-use events, performance metrics and error or crash logs. This also supports compatibility, application and firmware checks, equipment capabilities and prevention of misuse. Processing may use our services, system diagnostics or third-party analytics and performance-monitoring services, as listed in the appendix.

Woncan does not sell personal information or use survey project content or map-selected locations for targeted advertising.

Support and feedback

When you contact us, we process the contact details, problem description, logs, screenshots and other materials you supply to respond, investigate and resolve the issue. Please avoid submitting personal information unrelated to your request.

2. System permissions

Depending on the platform and features you use, we may request the system permissions listed below. Permissions and request methods vary by operating-system version. You can manage them in system settings; denying or withdrawing permission may affect the corresponding feature.

System permission does not replace consent to personal-information processing where required by law.

3. Third-party services and disclosure

We may integrate third-party SDKs or call services to provide maps, authentication, cloud services, analytics and diagnostics. Their applicability may vary by operating system, service region and the features you use. Providers, purposes and information categories are described in the Third-Party SDK and Service List.

We engage service providers to process personal information for the relevant purposes and require the protections applicable law calls for. Where we provide information to another independent personal-information controller, we give the notices and obtain the consent required by applicable law. Integrating an SDK does not mean that all information listed in this policy is supplied to that SDK.

Information may also be shared with an NTRIP or other provider you select, a destination you choose for export or sharing, or an organization, workspace or collaborator when you use such features. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary and legally permitted to protect users, Woncan, our services or the public.

If personal information needs to be transferred because of a merger, separation or similar event, we will give the required notices and apply the recipient-protection measures required by applicable law. Public disclosure is subject to the consent or other basis required by applicable law.

4. Retention, storage locations and security

We retain personal information for no longer than necessary to provide the relevant features, maintain security and necessary business records, resolve disputes, comply with applicable obligations and enforce agreements, subject to applicable law. Retention varies by the type of information and service. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law. Information may remain for a limited period in backups or logs through normal retention cycles; where deletion is legally due but retention is required or deletion is technically difficult, we restrict further processing as required by applicable law.

Local information remains on the device until deleted through the app or device controls. Clearing app storage or uninstalling may remove private app data. Exported or shared copies may remain elsewhere until deleted separately. Information sent to a user-selected provider or recipient must be managed through that party or service.

Depending on the services you use, Woncan and its service providers may process and store personal information in the Chinese Mainland or outside the Chinese Mainland, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Processing may occur outside your jurisdiction, where protection rules may differ. For cross-border transfers, we provide notices, obtain consent and implement safeguards where required by applicable law. User-selected providers and destinations determine their own processing locations. Relevant provider information is included in the appendix; additional notices are provided where legally required.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. The measures used depend on the information and services involved. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal-information security incident occurs, we take remedial action and make notifications or reports as required by applicable law.

5. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, a copy of, correction, supplementation, deletion or restriction of personal information under our control, or to object to processing, withdraw consent or request account deletion. You can submit requests using available product features or the contact details below and manage permissions in system settings. We may need information to locate the relevant records and verify your identity.

Account deletion or withdrawal of consent may affect the corresponding services but does not affect processing based on consent before its withdrawal. We handle requests, explain refusals and apply any required processing restrictions in accordance with applicable law, including applicable response periods.

6. Minors

LiteSurvey Pro is a professional surveying application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use children's personal information for advertising or profiling. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can review the circumstances and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.

7. Policy changes

We may update this policy as features, information practices or applicable requirements change. The current version will be available at the app's privacy-policy URL with an updated date. We will give additional notices and obtain renewed consent where required by applicable law. Routine feature changes do not necessarily change the scope of processing described in this policy.

Appendix: Third-Party SDK and Service List

This list forms part of this privacy policy.

In this list, “Chinese Mainland services” and “international services” are determined by location for unregistered users and account registration region for registered users. “International services” means the corresponding services for regions outside the Chinese Mainland, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The services below apply according to the features you use. Account, authentication and cloud services apply when the relevant feature is available and you use it. Listing a service does not mean it processes all information about every user.

Services we operate

We process information for device services, coordinate and regional-data queries, operations, and Chinese Mainland account and cloud services for the purposes described in the privacy policy. Processing includes submitting requests, server-side storage or queries, synchronization and log analysis, as applicable to the feature used.

Cross-border processing

Relevant services may process information in the Chinese Mainland or outside the Chinese Mainland, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Processing may occur outside your jurisdiction. Cross-border transfers are subject to section 4 of the policy and relevant feature-specific notices.
